2010 News

  • This year has been started quietly, with a whisper rather than a bang. We've shown very lightly at this point in time (February 24th). Stay tuned to keep up with any of winnings and happenings and keep your eyes peeled for the newest additions to our team!

    April News

  • There is a lot to be said about April. We have expended so much effort and the results were definately felt. April is the busiest time of year for us Specialty Show wise. We have 2 Chihuahua Shows, A Papillon Show, A Toy Specialty and then of course Australia's most prestigious dog show - "The Sydney Royal Easter Show." The question now is where do we begin to tell the story of our exceptionally successful time away?

I suppose the place to begin would be on the Saturday with our Chihuahua Club of NSW show. Our judge from America was a Chihuahua Specialist who specialised in Black and Tans as well as Blacks. This was where Maggot who is underappreciated by many judges was given her chance to shine. She strutted her stuff with EmilyKate on the end of the lead to drive her. She shined. Maggot (Australian Champion Montaza Pearlie Mae) was awarded the BITCH CHALLENGE and RUNNER UP TO BEST OF BREED. Not a mean feat for a little black devil. Her success did not stop there and she went on to also be awarded INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW. This was not our only success - "Emmoge Prince ov Thieves" aka "GAMBIT" at his first show was also awarded BABY IN SHOW and "KFinch Nice N Easy" aka "Rabbit" our 7 year old vetran was given top honors with RESERVE DOG CHALLENGE AND RUNNER UP TO BEST OF BREED.

Sunday dawned pleasant and early and off to show again we were. This time it was our Papillon team with Hugo at the head. This too was a day that will not easily be forgotten. We started strongly with a 1st in the Puppy dog class with Hugo's Tricolor son "Breakdance" (Starblaze Classic Dance Move), 1st in the Junior dog Class was "Quil" (Starblaze Classic New Moon), Hugo was not all that stellar but notched up a commendable second in Australian Bred Dog class. We came in for challenge strongly represented and to our pleasant surprise from second place in the AUstralian Bred class Hugo was also awarded RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG. I was surprised and happy. This was two years in a row that our superstar had taken this award. We were unplaced in the Baby Bitch class with "Ava" (Carais Vannita) but we came out strong in the Australian Bred bitch class with "Fuji" (Guilcroft Classic Carousel) taking out a second and Hugo's beautiful daughter "Witchery" (Starblaze Classic Breaking Dawn) taking out a second too. At only 14 months of age you could imagine how impressed we were when the most beautiful Witch took out RESERVE CHALLENGE BITCH! The sucess was still rolling. From this effort we managed to take out more wins.

Hugo finished up at RESERVE IN SHOW
Breakdance finished up at OPPOSITE PUPPY IN SHOW, BEST TAIL SET
Quil finished up as JUNIOR IN SHOW

As a team Hugo with his progeny Witch, Quil and Breakdance were your best Parent and Progeny.
A hugely successful day no doubt. Our thanks go to Papillon specialist Eileen Bates

  • Monday was by far the day to top it off. Our fiery Maggot came out all guns ablazing and for a top effort on her behalf was awarded BEST EXHBIT IN SHOW. Rabbit was again Reserve of Breed and the Judge, Ms Eileen Bates of South Africa raved about them both. There is nothing more satisfying when quality is recognized!

  • Tuesday was Papillon day at the Royal and as you could imagine we were beginnning to tire. With Hugo and Quil we flew the Starblaze flag high. Quil walked out of the ring with a commendable 3rd in a class of 8. Hugo was the shining star. At the 2010 SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW Hugo was DOG CHALLENGE and BEST OF BREED from an entry of 54 under Nina Karlsdotter of Sweden. We were ecstatic.

  • Wedndesday was another day at the Royal and boy were we pleased! Could a stellar few days of continued. As it turned out they could. Miss Maggot came out again and showed them all that BLACK IS BACK. She was Challenge Bitch and RESERVE OF BREED. Not a mean feat for a little black dog! Rabbit to shined with class placing!

On Saturday, we returned with Hugo for General Specials. He was toey, fired up and ready to prove to the world that he was just it. He was naughty, inspired by the clapping and cheers but was SHORTLISTED FOR THE FINAL 8 IN THE TOY GROUP. Although he did not place we could not be more pleased.

 August News

  • Now was the time for Georgia and Tracy to venture back to the place where Emmoge Kennels was born. To Queensland they journeyed for the Brisbane EKKA or Brisbane Royal Show. After an early start and a few days recovery Papillon and Chihuahua day arrived at the EKKA. Ominiously, on Friday the 13th they showed with mixed successes. Maggot was 3rd in her class and Rabbit also 3rd in Open Dog. Papillons are where we seem to be having our successes. Hugo as always came out in front with Tracy at the lead. He won the open dog and then went onto DOG CHALLENGE. Witchery however was not so successful, the noise and closeness of so many people scared the special one but she still drove home with a 2nd Place out of 5. Hugo then went on to be awarded BEST OF BREED at the 2010 Brisbane EKKA. He did not go any further but showed exquisitely for Best in Group.
  • Sunday was the Toy Specialty and Rabbit redeemed himself. He was BEST OF BREED over the 2010 Brisbane Royal Best of Breed winner. Hugo picked up a DOG CHALLENGE and Witchery was 1st in her Open Class.
